 Frequently Asked Questions
A gentle guide to help you feel informed, safe, and supported.

 What is Equine-Assisted Therapy?
Equine-Assisted Therapy is time shared with horses in a peaceful, supportive space. You don’t need to ride or “do” anything specific. Just being around horses can help you feel calm, grounded, and connected. I gently guide the session based on how you’re feeling that day. It's less like a formal therapy room and more like finding space to breathe.

 What is Reiki In a Field with Horses and how does it help?
Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-near) energy practice that supports relaxation and emotional balance. Some people feel warmth or calm during a session. Others feel more grounded afterwards. Reiki with a horse present in nature, makes the experience even more soothing.

 Do I need to know anything about horses?
Not at all. You don’t need any horse experience, and there’s no pressure to do anything that feels scary or strange. Everything is done at your pace. You can watch, be near the horses, or interact if it feels right.

 What is Neurodivergent Harmony?
Neurodivergent Harmony is a quiet, calm offering just for neurodivergent women. It’s a space where you can breathe, be yourself, and feel seen. We use co-regulation with horses, mindfulness, and simple breath practices. Everything is at your pace, with no pressure to talk unless you want to.

 What is Connected Horse & Human Harmony?
This is a support space for neurodivergent horse owners. It’s about understanding the bond you have with your horse, finding ways to regulate your own nervous system, and learning how your emotions and your horse’s behaviour connect. It’s gentle, affirming, and designed just for you.

 What is a Hay Bale Session?
A Hay Bale Session is
15 Minutes of Calm — Wherever You Are, if you are Feeling overwhelmed?
Stressed, anxious, or just… full?  It's an opportunity for you to press pause for 15 minutes and enjoy a
short, gentle Reiki session—by phone, WhatsApp, or video call.  . It’s neurodivergent-friendly, low-pressure, and grounding.

 What if I’m scared of horses?
That’s totally okay. You won’t be asked to do anything that makes you uncomfortable. You can stay on the other side of a fence or simply watch. The session is about you, not the horse. Many people find their fear softens naturally in this calm setting.

 What should I wear or bring?
Wear comfy clothes you don’t mind getting a bit dusty. Layers are great, as the weather can change. Closed-toe shoes are a must (like boots or trainers). If you’d like to bring a drink, journal, favourite teddie or anything that helps you feel settled, please do.

️ Where are you based?
I'm based in Cheshire West, UK. You’ll get clear directions before your session, and I’ll make sure everything feels simple and accessible.

 How much does it cost?
Prices vary depending on the session type. Please visit the Session page you are interested in or get in touch for current rates. Concession options are available, and if cost feels like a barrier, I’m happy to talk things through gently with you.

 How do I book a session?
You can reach me directly:
 Phone/WhatsApp: 07957 160333
 Email: chontiatear@gmail.com

We can also have a short chat beforehand if that feels helpful. I know booking something new can feel big—there’s no pressure, just options.

 I’m neurodivergent. Will I be understood?
Yes. This whole space is created with neurodivergence in mind, because I am neurodivergent too. You don’t have to mask, explain, or perform. Whether you need quiet, clarity, movement breaks, stimming, or just time—I will meet you there.

 Do I have to talk about my feelings?
Nope. You never have to talk unless you want to. Some people like to talk, some just want to be, and some switch between the two. You are always in charge of your own pace and comfort.
